How I Can Support You

I will listen to what has been happening and help you understand your experiences and identify patterns of abuse, including behaviours that may have been subtle or difficult to recognise.

Support can include:

  • Emotional and practical support
  • Identifying and understanding abusive behaviours
  • Specialist risk assessment
  • Safety planning
  • Action planning and exploring your options
  • Advocacy and liaison with professionals
  • Support with Children’s Services, housing, police and other agencies
  • Preparation for and attendance at professional meetings
  • Support around Family Court and other proceedings
  • Ongoing 1:1 specialist support

You don’t need to know exactly what support you need. We can start with what has been happening and work from there.

My Expertise

I am a SafeLives qualified Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA), domestic abuse consultant and specialist stalking practitioner, with extensive frontline experience supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, coercive control and stalking.

Throughout my career, I have worked within local authorities and specialist domestic abuse organisations, including Solace Women’s Aid and Victim Support. I have worked within women’s refuges supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse, and have been based within police stations and Children’s Services in specialist IDVA roles, supporting people experiencing high-risk and complex abuse.

My experience also includes supporting women in women’s refuges after the immediate crisis and following abusive relationships, helping them understand what they have experienced, rebuild their confidence and move forward.

Alongside my frontline work, I am a qualified professional trainer, delivering specialist domestic abuse and stalking training and consultancy to professionals and organisations.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Criminology, alongside specialist qualifications in domestic abuse, stalking and professional training.

My experience means I understand both the impact abuse can have on someone’s life and how difficult it can be to navigate the different services and systems involved. I use that experience to provide practical, knowledgeable and compassionate support based around each person’s individual circumstances.
