I founded this company driven by a deeply held belief that everyone has the right to live free from abuse.
As a child, I witnessed and experienced the devastating effects of domestic abuse firsthand. These early experiences, combined with the lack of awareness and understanding surrounding abuse and its impact on victims and their children, inspired me to dedicate my life to this vital work.
Over the years, my mission has grown from directly supporting victims to empowering professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to make a difference.
Private IDVA Service
Are you experiencing domestic abuse and looking for safe, confidential support? Are you worried about someone you know, or are you an organisation looking to provide specialist domestic abuse support for your employees?
At Rethink Domestic Abuse, we provide independent 1:1 specialist support for people experiencing domestic abuse, coercive control or stalking, as well as structured 4-week and 8-week recovery programmes for those rebuilding their lives after an abusive relationship.
We also work with organisations that want to provide their employees with access to independent, confidential specialist domestic abuse support.
Support is available in person, virtually via Zoom or Teams, or by phone — whatever works best for you.
What is an IDVA?
An IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Adviser) is a specialist practitioner trained to support people experiencing domestic abuse.
An IDVA can help you understand what is happening, assess risk, think about your safety, understand the options available to you and access other services where needed. They can also advocate on your behalf and support you when dealing with professionals and services.
Our role is not to tell you what to do. It is to make sure you understand your options, have the information you need and feel supported to make decisions that are right for you.

We are not here to replace the support provided by local authorities, charities or specialist domestic abuse services. I have worked within both local authority and charity domestic abuse services and know first-hand the amazing work they do and how important these services are.
Rethink Domestic Abuse simply offers another option.
You may be looking for more personalised support, want to work with the same practitioner throughout, need support for longer, or want more flexibility around when and how you access help.
You may already be receiving support from another service but feel you would benefit from some additional specialist input.
Whatever the reason, our aim is to give you time, consistency and specialist support that focuses on your individual circumstances and what you need.
